(Healthing/ The Montreal Gazette) — Quebec’s youngest inhabitants were hit hard by the fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic, a study by the province’s Early Childhood Observatory has found.

The study’s good news is that “the risk of hospitalization for COVID-19 is very low in children, and there have been no fatalities due to COVID-19 in children between the ages of 0 and 5.”

However other side-effects from the social disruption wreaked by the health crisis were found in the province’s youngest demographic. (…)
